HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Caley McCool (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) was voted a Second Team selection to the All-Landmark Conference softball squad, which was released Tuesday.

McCool, the lone Juniata softball All-Landmark honoree, earned Second Team All-Landmark honors for the third consecutive season.

The senior second baseman finished the season with a team-high .326 batting average, collecting a team-leading 31 hits in her 95 at bats. She led Juniata with 12 runs batted in with 37 total bases, and finished the season with a .389 slugging percentage and a .379 on base percentage. McCool recorded just two strikeouts during the 2011 campaign, and is ranked 21st among NCAA Division III hitting leaders in "toughest to strikeout" with just one strikeout for every 47.5 at bats.

In the field, McCool had just two errors in 114 chances at second base this season, and just 11 errors in 532 chances over her four-year career.

In her four years at Juniata, McCool finished fourth among career leaders in both hits (138) and RBI (60), and was tied for ninth in career doubles (18).

The All-Landmark honor is the second post-season accolade for McCool in as many weeks; last week, she was named to the Capital One College Division Softball Academic All-District Third Team as voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
