HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College baseball team had four representatives on the Commonwealth Conference all-star squad, with all four earning a spot on the first team. Junior first baseman Tim Dobson (Millville/Millville, NJ), senior center fielder Matt Eisenberg (Big Spring/Newville), junior designated hitter Tim Keeley (Caledonia-Mumford/Caledonia, NY) and senior right fielder/second baseman Lucas Kelleher (Bishop Guilfoyle/Altoona), who earned a spot as a utility player, garnered the all-star laurels. Eisenberg earned first-team honors for the third straight year, while Dobson posted his second showing on the top unit. Kelleher was a second-team member last spring, and Keeley made his first appearance among the conference elite.

Dobson, who was tabbed as the team's most valuable player earlier this year, finished first on the team in batting average (.385) with a career-best and team-high 45 hits during 117 at-bats. In addition, he paced the unit in slugging percentage (.735), home runs (7), runs batted in (35), doubles (10), triples (5), walks (18) and on-base percentage (.460). His RBI total is third on the school's single-season chart (35), which is just two shy of tying his own program standard of 37 set in 2000. For his career, he is a .341 hitter and that ranks 18th on the all-time ledger on College Hill. Dobson is also second in RBI (92) and home runs (16), third in doubles (27), seventh in triples (9) and 10th in hits (108) on the career lists at Juniata. In 2000, he was picked as a first-team Commonwealth member as a designated hitter.

Eisenberg, who was a first-team Commonwealth all-star as a wide receiver on the gridiron the past three seasons, was second on the blue and gold unit in hits (41), runs scored (29) and triples (3). His at-bat total of 137 set a single-season record on College Hill. Eisenberg led the Eagles in stolen bases (11). He hit .299 for the year, which marked the only season that he finished a campaign with a below .300 average. In addition, he had 17 RBI, six doubles and two home runs as the club's lead-off hitter. The football team's most valuable skill player this past fall, ended his diamond tenure with a .346 batting average (173 for 500) to rank 13th all-time at Juniata. He exits the program first in triples (14), hits (173), at-bats (500) and stolen bases (61), second in runs scored (113), sixth in RBI (69) and ninth in doubles (24).

Keeley posted a .322 batting average this spring with 37 hits during 115 at-bats. He smacked seven doubles (second on the club), three home runs (second on the team) and drove in a career-best 29 RBI (second on the team). In addition, Keeley scored 23 runs, had 10 walks, was hit by six pitches and had a team-high three sacrifice flies. He also logged 37 innings on the mound and posted a 3-3 record with a 5.84 earned-run average. He allowed 45 hits, 31 runs (24 earned), walked 23 and struck out 16.

Kelleher, who was tabbed as the team's most valuable player in 2000, spent time at right field and second base this past year. He finished second among the regulars in the blue and gold lineup in batting average (.322), while leading the unit in runs scored (32) for the second straight year. He placed second among the Eagles in hits (40), at-bats (124) and stolen bases (9). In addition, he drove in 16 runs and walked 11 times to go along with three doubles, a triple and a home run. Kelleher's numbers this year rank sixth (at-bats), seventh (runs) and 19th (hits) on the Juniata single-season charts. For his career, he is seventh in runs scored (79) and 13th in hits (100) on College Hill.

Juniata ended the year with an 18-18-1 overall record and an 8-6 mark in Commonwealth action. The Eagles made their first showing in the conference playoffs since 1998 and went 1-2 in the double-elimination tourney.
