HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Community Service Board of Juniata College, a group of representatives from various campus clubs that coordinates community-based programs run by other student organizations at the college, received the Teaming Up Award from the Campus Outreach Opportunity League at the league's national conference held March 14-17 at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga.

In addition, four Juniata students presented a workshop, "Campus Collaboration for Community Contribution," March 17 at the conference. The students are Ryan Walstrom, a sophomore from Houtzdale; Tom McGraw, a sophomore from Altoona; Rachel Locke, a junior from Altoona; and Matthew Holtry, a freshman from Carlisle.

The Juniata students accepted the award with Jenell Patton, director of service-learning and volunteer programs, and Diana Goodley, a representative of Pennsylvania Campus Compact, a part of AmeriCorps*VISTA.

The conference was attended by more than 1,200 students from the United States and United Kingdom.
