HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Ivana Mrozkova, a leading educational reformer in the Czech Republic, will speak at Juniata College on "The Czech Republic Twelve Years After the Velvet Revolution" at 3 p.m. March 26 in 202 Good Hall on the Juniata campus.

The event is free and open to the public.

Mrozkova is a lecturer in political science and European studies at Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. This year, she is a Fulbright-Masaryk Scholar studying leadership and communication at the University of Maryland's James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership in College Park, Md.

Over the past decade, she has been a leader in educational reform, both as a high school teacher and university professor. From 1989 to 1998 she served as executive director of the Olomouc Summer Institute, a program that brought high school students from across Europe to study Czech culture at Olomouc.
