ANNVILLE, Pa. - Juniata College field hockey's post-season march continued Saturday with a 2-0 win over third-ranked Ursinus College, in regional semifinal action in the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship in Annville, Pa. With the win, the 13th-ranked Eagles (21-2) advance to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. regional final against the host squad, fourth-ranked Lebanon Valley College. The Flying Dutchmen (20-1, 4-0 Commonwealth) advanced earlier on Saturday with a 2-1 win over #16 Lynchburg College. Playing in front of her hometown crowd, senior Michelle Campbell (Annville, Pa./Northern Lebanon) scored what proved to be the game-winner off a penalty corner with 12:39 remaining in the first half. Campbell sent a shot into the right side of the Ursinus cage and past Bear goalie Jessica Lamina, with an assist going to Jenn Moss (Barrington, R.I./Barrington). Moss padded the Eagle lead to 2-0 with 11:48 left in the game, scoring an unassisted goal off a loose rebound. Ursinus outshot the Eagles 26-9, with Juniata goalie Abby Funk (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) making 19 saves. Lamina finished with four saves in the Ursinus goal. The Eagle defense successfully kept Ursinus from scoring on any of its 27 penalty corner attempts, while the Bears failed to convert on either of two penalty strokes awarded during the game. Jennie Moore missed Ursinus' first stroke, with 1:47 remaining in the first half, caroming the shot off the cross bar, while Funk made a save on Moore's second penalty stroke barely a minute-and-a-half into the second half. -30-
