SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The second-ranked Juniata College women's volleyball team wrapped up competition at the Wittenberg Fall Classic on Saturday morning, knocking off the University of Dallas, 3-0. Game scores were 30-15, 30-9, and 30-17. Juniata (31-4, 6-0 Landmark) was scheduled to play Carnegie Mellon at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, but that match was cancelled. Cassie Dickmann (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) led the Eagles with 13 kills and a .545 attack percentage, while Mariel Little (Commerce, Mich./Walled Lake Central) had eight terminations. "It made us feel pretty good that we can take a punch on Friday night, and come back and play a good match on Saturday,\" said Juniata head coach Larry Bock. "As coaches, we know we're a pretty good team; this should remind our players that they're a good team.\" Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) finished with 11 digs, while Jessica Ritchey (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim) had nine digs to go with a pair of service aces. Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) was in on four blocks on the night, and Beth Kozak (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) finished with 27 set assists. The University of Dallas match concludes Juniata's 2007 regular season slate.
