Juniata 3, Eastern 0 ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - In a rematch of the last three NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship matches, the Juniata College women\'s volleyball team prevailed once again, this time earning a 3-0 victory over Eastern University Friday night. With the win, Juniata improves to 20-0 on the season, while Eastern falls to 10-7 with the loss. Juniata was in control of the match from the beginning as the Eagles won by game scores of 30-19, 30-20 and 30-18. It was a solid evening for sophomore Erin Albert (Philispburg-Osceola/Philipsburg) who led the team with 15 kills while adding a pair of aces. The 15 kills matches her career best, which she established earlier this season in a win over Salisbury. Stephanie Kines (Towson/Towson, Md.) and Amber Thomas (Conestoga Valley/Ephrata) added 11 kills offensively for the Blue and Gold. Sophomore setter Beth Kozak passed out 42 assists to direct the Juniata offense. Defensively, Kines paced the team with four blocks, while Megan Sollenberger (Cumberland Valley/Mechanicsburg) brought up 19 digs. Sollenberger also matched Albert with a team-high two aces. Juniata returns to action on Sunday with a road match against Division I Princeton University. ###
