Lewisburg, Pa.? The Juniata College men?s and women?s track and field teams posted three more school records and earned a number of season bests at the two-day Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg. The meet featured a 32-team field, including several Division I and II teams.

Overall, Juniata finished with 28 season-best performances in the meet, and established three new school records. Randy Anderson (DuBois/DuBois) established a new mark in the 200-meters as he posted a third-place finish with a time of 22.32. Anderson added a third-place finish in the 100.

Mohammad Ali Khoshnevisan (Seneca Valley/Germantown, Md.) added a new school record on the men?s side with his effort in the hammer throw. He posted an effort of 115? 2? which was good for 24th-place in the meet.

The record in the hammer also fell on the women?s side as Debbie Delaney (Franklin/Reistertown, Md.) earned a 27th-place finish with a school record toss of 113? 10?.

Also recording top-15 finishes for the men on the day was freshman Matthew Booth (Allentown Central Catholic/Allentown) who finished sixth in the long jump, and then added a 10th-place finish in the triple jump. Adam Loser (Central York/York) contributed a 10th-place effort in the high jump, while Ben Beas (Kiski Prep./Johnstown) finished 11th in the 400-meter hurdles.

On the women?s side, Meredith Troutman (Meyersdale/Meyersdale) notched a pair of high finishes in the sprint events. She recorded a 12th-place finish in the 100, and then crossed the line in 14th-position in the 200. Jan Jennings (Pleasant Valley/Saylorsburg) rounded out Juniata?s top-15 efforts with a 15th-place finish in the javelin.

The Juniata women will be in action on Wednesday when the Eagles compete in a dual meet at Pitt-Johnstown. Both teams will then compete at the Indiana (Pa.) Open next Saturday.
