Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College senior setter Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton) has been named the Commonwealth Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for her play in leading the top-ranked Juniata women's volleyball team to a perfect 5-0 week.

With Dale directing the offense Juniata posted five victories, including a pair over team's ranked in the top-10 in Division III. The senior captured All-Tournament Team honors at the Trinity National Invitational where Juniata defeated sixth-ranked Ohio Northern University and 10th-ranked Trinity University (Tx.). Dale passed out 54 assists in the four-game win over Trinity while adding 17 digs. She had another "double-double" against Ohio Northern, finishing with 42 assists, 13 digs and six kills in the match. She had a season-best nine kills to go with a pair of aces and 38 assists in a three-game win over Texas Lutheran at the Invitational and posted 36 assists with eight digs in a win over St. Olaf. Finally, she had 33 assists, four aces and three kills in Juniata's conference win over Susquehanna. For the week Dale finished with 203 assists, good for 12.69 assists per game, along with 48 digs, 23 kills, nine aces and two blocks.

On the season, Dale ranks among the national leaders in Division III in assists per game. She has exactly 1,400 assists for the year through Juniata's regular season, with an average of 13.33 assists per game. She ranked fourth in NCAA Division III in assists per game in the statistical rankings releases October 24. On eight occasions this season she has passed out at least 50 assists, and has topped 60 assists three times. Her 365 digs leads the team while she also ranks third on the team with 40 aces. With Dale's direction, Juniata is hitting .294 as a team, a total which ranked sixth in the nation in the October 24 statistics report. Her 203 assists this past week also moved her past the 6,000 assist mark for her career.

With Dale leading the way, Juniata finished the regular season 30-3 and ranked first in NCAA Division III. Juniata will begin its quest for its 24th-straight NCAA Tournament bid when the Eagles host Lebanon Valley Wednesday night for a Commonwealth Conference semifinal match.
