Katie's Bio

• BA, Communication Studies, Western Washington University
• Joined Juniata Staff in 2023

Katie is originally from Huntingdon PA and spent the first 15 years of her life here before moving to the Seattle area. There, Katie earned her BA in Communication Studies from Western Washington University. She originally wanted to pursue teaching but after getting into a classroom she quickly realized that wasn’t the right fit for her. The desire to be a part of the education system never went away and In 2022 she moved back to Central PA. When the opportunity to work at Juniata presented itself, she was determined to join this vibrant community. Katie thrives connecting with individuals and looks forward to building relationships with students and families. She is committed to helping find the right place for any student and to making sure they feel safe, comfortable and well taken care of.

During Katie’s free time you can find her cooking, crafting, and spending time outside. Katie loves finding the best food and drink around and is passionate about supporting local farms and business. She enjoys a good movie, true crime podcast and dancing like no one is watching.
