Welcome! We offer 3- and 4-credit courses in various aspects of music and its relationship to other fields, choral and instrumental ensembles, and private lessons on all standard instruments and voice. Over 100 students per semester are enrolled in something musical at Juniata! (We do not offer a major nor minor in music.)

By joining our choir or one of our instrumental ensembles, you’ll have the opportunity to continue singing or playing in large musical groups, performing concerts on and off campus. As a member of the Concert Choir, you’ll also connect with a global community, traveling the world while performing music that represents diverse cultures. This unique experience broadens your musical horizons and deepens your understanding of music’s universal power to bring people together.

In addition to ensemble work, you’ll enhance your musical knowledge through engaging classes that explore how music achieves its impact, and you’ll refine your personal skills through individual music lessons. You’ll also have the chance to express your creativity through composition and improvisation, allowing you to explore your unique artistic voice while developing a deeper connection to the music you create.
