Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Juniata College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college of 1600 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics for a one-year appointment to begin August 2018.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field at the time of appointment. We are looking for someone with demonstrated excellence as a classroom instructor, who is able to offer a wide range of courses from calculus to quantitative literacy to linear algebra. Experience with the use of technology in the classroom and the ability to teach statistics are definite advantages.

The teaching load in the Department of Mathematics is three courses per semester. The Department graduates 10-12 students per year, many of whom have interdisciplinary interests.
