Biography

Tracy Stough Grajewski ’86, MBA is the Division Leader, Department Chair, and an Assistant Professor in the Accounting, Business and Economics department at Juniata College. Tracy has been teaching at Juniata since 2019. Prior to her full-time appointment to the Faculty, Tracy also served as the Vice President for Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer for the College. Since joining Juniata in 2019, Tracy has spearheaded transformational efforts in the HR areas of Compensation, Health Benefits, Retirement, Recruiting, and Leadership/Team Development. She also co-led the development of the Juniata “All In” Strategic Plan and the design for the facilities Campus Master Planning process. Tracy’s true passions are teaching, talent and leadership development, and assisting organizations through growth and transition.

Prior to Juniata, Tracy founded Laurel Summit Insights to provide targeted human resources consulting to solve business challenges through talent. Tracy’s consulting practice continues to concentrate in the areas of executive coaching and Human Resources advice and counsel for various start up and global organizations.

In her earlier work experiences, Tracy served as a Senior Vice President of Human Resources for the Highmark Health insurance company. She also worked as Highmark’s Vice President of Human Resources Operations where she led HR transformation to the HR Business Partner model, merger integrations, executive succession planning and recruiting. Tracy also consulted to Highmark while at Mercer.

Prior to joining Highmark, Tracy held various senior, global Human Resources positions at Merck & Company, Inc. where she was the architect of the HR shared service transformation. Tracy also created the federated strategic staffing model. She led strategic merger integrations and provided senior HR strategic consulting and executive coaching for the leaders of the Merck Manufacturing division.

Tracy is an Authorized Partner for Predictive Index, the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team and a Retirement Options Coach. She is an active Juniata College alumna, having served as an Alumni Trustee and Class Fund Agent. Tracy is a member of CUPA-HR and SHRM. Tracy is appointed to the Board of Directors for AAA-Central Penn and serves on the Human Resources Committee for the organization.

Tracy holds an MBA in Transformational Leadership and Human Resources from Syracuse University and a BS in Marketing and Spanish from Juniata College.
