Art Walk Huntingdon

Every 3rd Thursday of the month, 5pm - 8pm (year-round)

Cultural venues and retail establishments throughout town open to the public with special presentations of music, visual art, activities, and food to encourage our community to experience artistic vitality in their own backyard. One Item, One Hour: Wildlife Encounters in the Archive

Wednesday, September 18, 4pm, Beeghly Library

Join library staff alongside Artist-In-Residence Lauren Strohacker to learn about the Henry W. Shoemaker Special Collection. Shoemaker was a folklorist, diplomat, author, historian and conservationist who wrote extensively about Pennsylvania wildlife, legends and other ethnographic works.

Shaver's Creek Installation: In the Fabric of the Woodland

Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22, beginning Saturday at 6pm

Mindfulness at the Museum

Join us for 30-minute sessions designed to promote focus, awareness, and relaxation by attending to an artwork. Some sessions include hands-on activities, some are more meditative.

View a wildlife-related art installation In the Fabric of the Woodland by artist-in-residence Lauren Strohacker created specifically for Juniata College! Participate in a hands-on activity in response – your contributions will become part of the exhibition at the JCMA on campus. Wellness in Nature Walk

Experience the dual benefits of exercise and observation of nature on a walk between two art works: the Peace Chapel (by Maya Lin) and In the Fabric of the Woodland (by Lauren Strohacker). Gather at the front steps of the JCMA and wear walking shoes!
