Selected Shorts Brings 'Danger and Discovery' to Juniata College Stage

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The popular radio show and podcast Selected Shorts is bringing story time for adults to Juniata College at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, in the Suzanne von Liebig Black Box Theater, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts.   

The theme for the evening is Danger and Discovery, and actors Mike Doyle, Sarah Steele, and Rita Wolf will perform spellbinding fictional stories filled with cryptic characters, treachery, and unexpected twists.  

Doyle is best known for his roles in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Oz,” and “New Amsterdam.” Steele got her start in acting in the film “Spanglish” and has had longstanding roles in “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight.” Wolf is a British American actress who has appeared in movies and on television in both the United Kingdom and the United States, including appearances on “Coronation Street” and “The Good Wife.”   

Selected Shorts was born on the stage of Symphony Space in New York City, NY, over 35 years ago, and quickly became one of the best-known shows of its kind. Today, Selected Shorts offers a popular radio show, podcast, audio collections, and national tours, each offering a unique example of literature in performance.

Tickets for seniors over age 65 and children ages 18 and under are $12. Juniata College students are admitted free with a student ID.
