HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College will stage its homecoming parade starting at noon, Saturday, Oct. 25 from the Baxter Building at 18th and Washington streets.

Each float in the parade will be constructed honoring a particular movie theme. Floats in the parade will feature such movies and movie characters as ?A Bug?s Life,? ?Pirates of the Caribbean,? ?Animal House,? ?Austin Powers,? ?Toy Story,? ? and ?Scooby Doo.?

The parade is sponsored by the Residence Hall Association and will begin at the Baxter Building and end at Knox Stadium on the Juniata campus.

Other groups in the community are scheduled to participate in the parade, including the Huntingdon Area High School band and the Huntingdon Fire Department.

?We hope to bridge the gap and go beyond the boundaries of the homecoming parade by sponsoring a community event,? says Andrea Denkovich, a senior from Greencastle, Pa. and president of the Residence Hall Association. ?This parade is an opportunity for everyone to get involved in a Juniata homecoming tradition -- to incorporate families, the community and the college in a single event.?
