HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College student government and the college's Campus Ministry office will sponsor a Peace Vigil commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United Flight 93 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11 at the quad area in front of Rosenberger Auditorium and the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts.

The event is free and open to the public.

The commemoration will open with a prayer and remembrance by David Witkovsky, Juniata chaplain, and continue with a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of the terror attacks. Those attending will be given candles to light as the vigil takes place.

Prayers for peace and quotes from world leaders on peacemaking will be shared as well as personal reflections on how 9/11 has impacted the lives of those gathered. The service will include a song of peace by members of the Juniata Concert Choir.
