Huntingdon, Pa. -- Juniata College field hockey finished in front of their last Landmark Conference regular season opponent, The University of Scranton, 4-1 with two goals from Suzi Lindquist (Richmond, Va./Henrico) in the first half Saturday on Winton Hill Field.

Lindquist gained the lead for the Eagles 31 minutes in off an assist from Megan McGlone (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh). Caitlyn Bowman (Seven Valleys, Pa./Dallastown) put another goal on the board when she connected with Paula Price (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) just three minutes later. Lindquist rallied for round two in the 35th minute off of a penalty stroke, putting Juniata up 3-0 in the first half.

In the second half, Tara Winter interrupted Juniata scoring with an assist from Corrie Szapka. Brittany Kauffman (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) secured the 4-1 lead for Juniata in the 39th minute.

Winning goalkeeper, Moira Nugent (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) was unchallenged in the 46 minutes she played, while Janelle Howard (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) was charged with the goal allowed in her 25 minutes of work. Alexandria Marandino and Rachel Neabore shared goalkeeping duties for Scranton, each making four saves. Marandino was charged with three goals while Neabore allowed one.

Juniata outshot Scranton 28-2 and out-cornered them 19-2.

Next in line, Juniata will travel to Oneonta State in Oneonta, N.Y. at 12:00 pm. The non-conference game will be Juniata's last one before the Landmark Conference Tournament-Semifinals scheduled for November 3rd.
