ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Juniata College women's volleyball capped its weekend at the Nazareth College Golden Flyer Invitational with a pair of victories and an MVP trophy.

Juniata (8-0) began the day with a 3-0 win over New York University, by set scores of 25-14, 25-8, and 25-8. The second-ranked Eagles finished up with another 3-0 win, this time over Heidelberg College by set scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-17.

Freshman Amy Miller (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) paced the Juniata offense against NYU with eight kills, while senior middle Kristin Noetzel (Closter, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) and junior outside hitter Drew Barnhart (Titusville, Pa./Titusville) each had three blocks.

Junior libero Libby Morrison (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) turned up 17 digs for the Eagles.

In the nightcap against Heidelberg, Barnhart paced the offense with nine kills, while Miller added eight terminations. Sophomore pin hitter Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) finished with seven kills and nine digs, and also logged a solo block.

Morrison sprawled for 23 digs, while senior setter Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) had five digs and six kills. Fuller and Jordan Hopper (Laguna Beach, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal) each recorded two aces.

Morrison was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, while Strauss was named to the All-Tournament Team.

Juniata will head to DePauw University next weekend to play in the DePauw Invitational. The Eagles will face Haverford College, Rose-Hulman Inst. of Technology and Washington University-St. Louis in the tournament.
