Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College women's volleyball players Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton), Katie Laucks (West York/York), Stephanie Kines (Towson/Towson, Md.) and Erin Wisor (Altoona/Altoona) have all been named to the AVCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team. The top-ranked Eagles, earned four of the 12 spots on the team. It was the fourth All-Region honor for Dale, while Kines and Laucks are each making their second appearance on the All-Region Team. Wisor earns her first All-Region choice in this, her senior season. Each of the All-Region selections will now eligible for All-America honors from the AVCA.

Dale adds another honor to her resume as she has also earned All-America recognition twice in her career. She is a four-time All-Conference selection and she named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year this season for the second-consecutive year. Her career assist total of 6,257 ranks her second all-time in school history, and in the top-10 in NCAA Division III history in that category. She has passed out 1,574 assists this seasonâ"the eighth highest single-season total in school historyâ"while also adding a team-best 408 digs. Dale is third on the team in serve aces with 46, and has helped Juniata hit .302 as a team for the season, which ranks third in NCAA Division III.

Laucks picks up her second All-Region honor after earning All-America and All-Region honors last season. The junior middle hitter ranks second on the Eagles in kills with 361 while attacking at a .402 clip. She is first on the team with 70 serve aces, and ranks second on the squad with 80 blocks. Her .402 hitting percentage ranked her 11th in NCAA Division III through the regular season. She has been a consistent offensive force for Juniata, as she has reached double figures in kills in 22 of the team's 37 matches. Laucks surpassed the 1,000 kill mark for her career this season, and had a season-high 18 kills against Division I Princeton. She tossed in a career-high seven aces in a win over Frostburg State.

Kines earns her second All-Region honor this season after being named the Mid-Atlantic Region Freshman of the Year last season. The sophomore middle has been even better this season, as she leads the Eagles with 394 kills and a .469 hitting percentage. Her regular-season hitting percentage of .466 ranked her second in NCAA Division III. Her kills per game average of 3.68 is also tops on the team and she also leads in blocks with 93. She is fourth on the team with 39 aces. She was named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division III player of the week after leading Juniata to the Commonwealth Conference Championship. Kines was tabbed as the conference player of the week on three separate occasions, and was a second-team All-Conference selection.

Wisor earns her first All-Region honor this year, despite being left off the Commonwealth All-Conference Team. The senior outside hitter ranks second on the Eagles in kills with 237 and has averaged 2.70 kills per game in 2004. She is the only Juniata player to rank in the top five on the team in kills, digs and aces. She is fifth on the team with 226 digs and is fifth with 34 aces. She has added 27 blocks which ranks sixth among Eagle players. Wisor posted season-highs with 18 kills and 18 digs against Princeton, one of six matches in which she reached double figures in both kills and digs. She has done all this in her senior year after missing all of her junior season with an injury.

Juniata, currently ranked first in the AVCA/CSTV Division III Top-25 poll, will host Emory University (Ga.) in an NCAA Division III quarterfinal Friday November 19 at 7 pm. Juniata is 34-3 on the year, and is looking to earn its 19th berth in the NCAA Division III semifinals.
