New international students are required to be on campus for orientation. New Student
Orientation is a time that students from around the world and across the United States
will become acquainted with Juniata College. For the spring 2017 semester, new students
are expected to arrive to campus on Monday, January 9 or Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Residence halls and transportation to campus from State College, PA are available
on these days only. Juniata can provide transportation to campus only on Monday, January
9 or Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from State College (from the bus stations or the University
Park Airport.). The college cannot provide housing or transportation if you arrive
earlier than Monday, January 9. If you arrive later than Tuesday, January 10, you
may need to pay for the cost of transportation to Huntingdon.
Students must arrive by these dates to begin orientation activities on Wednesday, January 11th.
Do not make travel arrangements before you receive your visa.
The Center for International Education will inform you in your acceptance letter and in email messages prior to your arrival of the date you should arrive to campus and the dates of orientation.
The US government recognizes that being an international student is a complex process. Your life in the US may involve several government agencies. Study in the States is an on-line resource that provides the most current information to help international students understand processes like applying for a social security number or a driver’s license and how to maintain your student visa status.
