Huntingdon, Pa - The Juniata College football team placed eight representatives on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) football team this year, including two first-team selections. Junior Craig Moshier (Coudersport/Coudersport) was named as first team all-conference player at running back and senior Dusty Lehr (Bermudian Springs/New Oxford) was as first team all-conference selection at both punter and place kicker. Second team honors included senior wide receivers Nate Leach (Shade/Central City) and Andrew Raup (Danville/Danville) and senior offensive tackle Scott Shacreaw (Blairsville/Blairsville) representing the Eagle offense, and senior defensive end Fred Taber Calvert Hall College/Bel Air, Md.), senior outside linebacker Jason Stouffer (Newport/Newport), and senior defensive back Paul Evans (Huntingdon/Huntingdon) representing the Eagle defense. Evans and Leach were selected for all-conference honors for the third-straight year. Lehr returns as a first-team choice for a second time and Taber returns for his second straight second team honor.

Moshier finished first in the MAC in scoring (104 points) and in touchdowns (17). He also finished second in the MAC in both rushing (117.7 yd/game) and all-purpose yards (165.2 yd/game). He finished the season with 222 rushes for 1,177 yards and 51 receptions for 324 yards. Moshier broke Bill Berrier's 44-year-old Juniata single-game rushing record of 213 yards with 222 yards rushing against Lycoming College, a defense that allowed only 89 yards rushing per game prior to playing Juniata. He also broke the Juniata record for most yards rushing in a season, piling up 1,177 yards. His season-high 15 catches against Moravian was also a school record. Moshier finished the season with six games of 100 or more rushing yards and nine out of 10 games with over 100 all-purpose yards.

Lehr finished first in the MAC in punting for a second consecutive year. The senior averaged 40.0 yards per punt. His season long came against Dickinson College when he blasted a 56-yard punt. Lehr also finished first in the MAC in scoring (57 points) and field goals (9/13). His longest field goal of the year was a 40-yard kick against Widener, and he had a season-high 12 points against Albright College. On the year Lehr pinned his opponents inside the 20-yard line 8 times and had 5 punts of 50 yards or longer. He punted 48 times for 1,922 yards.

Evans finished tied for first in the MAC with seven interceptions and returned them for 69 yards. The senior finished fifth in the conference with 12 passes defended. He also finished second in the MAC in punt returns with an average of 9.7/return and 262 return yards on the year. Paul had his season high 2 interceptions against Albright. He leaves the program with 17 career interceptions.


Leach had 558 yards receiving on 44 receptions this year for the Eagles. He finished ninth in the MAC in receptions per game (4.4). He caught six touchdowns including a season high (2) against Albright. He also had a season high nine receptions for 133 yards against Albright. Leach finished his career fourth all-time in receiving yards at Juniata with 2,208 yards, and third in receptions with 160 grabs.


Raup picked up conference recognition for the first time in his four-year tenure at Juniata. He had 677 yards receiving on 46 receptions and six touchdowns in his senior campaign. He finished seventh in the MAC in receptions per game (4.6) and eighth in receiving yards per game (67.7). Raup had a career-high 158 yards receiving on 11 catches, along with two touchdowns against Moravian College.


Shacreaw picked up his first conference recognition during his four-year tenure at Juniata. He was part of an offensive line that amassed an MAC-high 4,091 yards this season. This mark also ranks third all-time in Juniata history in yards per season. The Eagles finished fifth in the MAC in passing yards (2,252), fourth in rushing yards (1,839), third in scoring offense (30.9 points/game), and first in first downs (213). The offensive line played a large part in having an Eagle running back break the school record for rushing yards in a game, and in a season. The line also allowed only 15 sacks on the season.

Stouffer earned his first conference all-star recognition in his senior campaign. He was an emotional leader and captain for a defense that led the conference in turnover margin (+17). The Eagles finished with 15 fumble recoveries and 16 interceptions on the year. Stouffer finished 15th in the MAC and fourth on the team in tackles with 70. He was second in the conference in fumbles forced with four. He had a season high 11 tackles against King's and had a season-high four tackles for loss against Dickinson. Stouffer earned conference defensive "player of the week" honors for his performance against Wilkes. The senior blocked an extra point that would have tied the game, and then sealed the Eagle victory with a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown.


Taber closed out his senior season at Juniata by racking up a career-best 14 sacks and 25 tackles for loss. His tackles for loss moved the offense back143 yards. He was second in the MAC in tackles for losses and third in the conference in sacks. Taber finishes his career at Juniata with 30 sacks and 156 tackles, 51 of them for losses. He also scored his first collegiate touchdown with a 24-yard fumble recovery against Dickinson this season. Taber earned MAC defensive "player of the week honors" for his four-sack, six-tackle for loss performance against Albright.
