HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's volleyball team held its national ranking at number two in the nation, when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Coaches' Top 25 poll was released Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles (12-2) received four first-place votes and a total of 568 points in the poll, trailing top-ranked Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The Titans held onto the top spot with a perfect 19-0 record and 577 points, including 15 first-place votes.

Trailing Juniata was Emory with one first-place vote and 552 points in third place, Ohio Northern in fourth with four first-place votes and 540 points, and fifth-place Washington-St. Louis with 518 points.

Rounding out the top ten were St. Thomas, Minn., in sixth place, Hope College in seventh, Carthage in eighth, Wittenberg in ninth, and Wisconsin-Whitewater in tenth place.

Juniata plays in the first of two Landmark Conference round robin weekends, this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3-4, at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. The Eagles will face Goucher College and Catholic University of America on Saturday, followed by the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Sunday.
