HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata art students will exhibit art in a variety of media -- paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics and computer art -- at the Juniata College Museum of Art from Feb. 15 to March 23.

There is an opening reception at the museum from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Feb. 15. The reception and continuing exhibition is free and open to the public.

The exhibit will feature more than two dozen works made by Juniata students during the 2000-2001 academic year. The works on display were created in art classes supervised by Alexander McBride, professor of art, and Jack Troy, associate professor of art.

"The spring student show gives our faculty, staff and students, as well as the Huntingdon community, a chance to see interesting and thoughtful work by our students," says Phillip Earenfight, assistant professor of art history and director of the museum. "Juniata gives students who are interested in art the opportunity to showcase their work in a museum gallery space."

The museum is located in historic Carnegie Hall at 17th and Moore streets in Huntingdon. Museum hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. For more information, please call the museum at (814) 641-3505, or visit the Juniata College Web site at http://www.juniata.edu/museum.
