WASHINGTON, D.C -- The Juniata College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Catholic University, Sunday afternoon in Washington, D.C. Juniata's (4-10, 1-3 Landmark) played its closest match of the afternoon against the Cardinals at #2 doubles, where the pairing of Lauren Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) and Tiereney Miller (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) fought Catholic's Corinne Alcorn and Reenie Costello to an 8-6 loss. In singles competition, Laura Gregory (Morrisonville, N.Y./Seton Catholic Central) came closest to pulling off the upset with a 10-7 loss against Catholic's Julia Cotrone. The Eagles return to action on Wednesday, April 9, when they host Susquehanna University in a Landmark Conference match.
