HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Two University of Georgia a cappella groups, the UGA Accidentals and Noteworthy, will perform a benefit concert at Juniata College to raise funds for the Huntingdon County United Way at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 27 in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus.
Tickets for the concert are $5 for general admission and $3 for students with ID.
The concert was arranged in part by Juniata's class of 2008 and by Juniata alumnus Shane Fuhrman, a 2006 graduate and a member of the Georgia ensemble, the UGA Accidentals.
The University of Georgia Accidentals, an all-male a cappella group, was formed in 1974 and features 13 members. The group is led by student Yannick Morgan and the group released an album "14 and Change" in 2006.
Noteworthy, the University of Georgia's only all-women a cappella group, is an offshoot of the university's Women's Glee Club and performs a repertoire of classic and current pop hits. The group released a 2006 album, "99 Problems But A Pitch Ain't One."
