Pitt-Bradford 2, Juniata 1 (OT) Bradford, Pa. ? In what turned out to be a very even and physical match, the Juniata College men?s soccer team?s late comeback was foiled as the Eagles fell to Pitt-Bradford Saturday 2-1 in overtime. With the loss the Eagles dropped to 2-2 on the season. After a scoreless, and physical first 45 minutes, Juniata found itself in a hole as Kyle Dickey scored in the 66th minute to put the home team in front. Playing most of the match a man up after a Pitt-Bradford player was sent off in the 33rd minute, Juniata finally broke through in the 89th and final minute of regulation as Juniata came up with the equalizer. Will Marshall (Upper Perkiomen/Pennsburg) found Rio Tomlin (Keystone Oaks/ Pittsburgh) in the closing seconds of the game to square the game at one. The tie would be short lived as Pitt-Bradford forward Peter Fay would get the clincher in the fourth minute of overtime. Juniata out-shot their opponent 9-3 as six different Eagles registered shots on goal. Andrew Steffan (Red Land/Lewisberry) led the Eagles getting three scoring chances while Bryan Hess (South Western/Hanover) had two shots on goal. Mark Guthridge (DuBois/DuBois) made two saves in net for the Blue and Gold while Pitt-Bradford keeper Mike Ruffino made eight stops. The Eagles are back in action on Wednesday when they play conference foe Lycoming at Detwiler Field. ###
