HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Al Young, a poet and screenwriter currently working as a writer-in-residence at Juniata College through Oct. 5, will perform a poetry reading Oct. 4 at 4 p.m. in 402 Good Hall and a lecture, "The Importance of Jazz," Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in 402 Good Hall on the Juniata campus.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Al Young is a Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow at Juniata College. He has written more than a dozen books of prose and poetry and has written screenplays for such films as "Bustin' Loose" and "A Piece of the Action."
