Enjoy two exhibitions at the Juniata College Museum of Art that celebrate Juniata’s connections with our surrounding community: Connected Threads: 40 Years of the Embroiderers’ Guild and Celebrate Huntingdon, featuring the original Gilbert Stuart portrait of Huntingdon founder William Smith, on generous loan from The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Arkansas. At 10 a.m., Gilbert Stuart makes a special appearance at the JCMA! Bob Gleason from The American Historical Theatre brings to life this famous colonial portrait artist and tells us what it’s like to make your living painting famous people like William Smith. Free and open to all ages.

Juniata Presents: Bindlestiff Family Cirkus

Bindlestiff adds a contemporary twist to the grand traditions of American Circus, bringing to audiences a unique hybrid of Circus and American pop culture traditions of early 20th century Vaudeville, Burlesque, and Sideshow. Bindlestiff doesn’t have a tent or travel with animals; its shows are more intimate, like traditional European one-ring shows. For all ages!

Eagles After Dark Event: Boom! An Interactive Juniata Escape Room Experience

An action-packed adventure awaits you! Use puzzles and clues to solve a murder mystery and escape before time runs out. There has been a murder, a cop on a stake-out has been killed, and the killer has left a bomb in order to cover up the evidence. You and your team need to use that evidence to discover who did it and why, and then neutralize the threat of this explosive. If you can stay calm and focused, you'll unravel the mystery of how to defuse the bomb and escape the room with your lives intact! All are invited to participate in this wildly fun and completely immersive team-based puzzle game. Free admission.

Juniata’s location, in the quiet and powerful place that is south central Pennsylvania, is known for its breathtaking beauty and world class outdoor recreational activities, which are enjoyed by more than one million visitors a year. We invite you to explore the place we are proud to call home. These mostly self-guided adventures include hiking the Thousand Steps, exploring the Peace Chapel, walking and biking on the Rails to Trails, and mountain biking on the Allegrippis Trails. All levels of fitness and experience can be accommodated through one of these activities, and no advance registration is required. Juniata College Bands Preview Concert

The Juniata wind symphony, concert band, and jazz ensemble will be performing a new fanfare to commemorate the renovation and re-opening of Alumni Hall, entitled “Fanfare: Generation Next” by Zachary Cairns, Beethoven’s “Consecration of The House” Overture, and arrangements of tunes that students would have been listening to when the building first opened in 1967-68, including a medley from “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” Admission is free.
