Carlsbad/White Sands
Above are typical RFC classrooms. Dr. Ryan Mathur takes time during the remaining daylight to teach us about the geology of the area at White Sands, NM. The lesson included ripples, gypsum, evaporation, and play-doh, among other things. To the right, you can see the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns, NM. This immense and beautiful cavern holds spectacular formations of stalactites, stalagmites, curtains, and popcorn formations.
