Philadelphia, Pa.? The Juniata College track and field team closed its competition at the famed Penn Relays as the men?s 4x400-meter relay team competed at the meet on Friday afternoon in Philadelphia.

Competing against teams primarily from the Middle Atlantic Conference and the Centennial Conference, the Eagle men placed 14th in the 15 team field. Juniata?s quartet of Dusty Sier (Smithsburg (Md.)/Smithsburg), Randy Anderson (Dubois/Dubois), Gary Ondecko (Bishop Carroll/Northern Cambria) and Jeremy Lampert (Portsmouth/Portsmouth, N.H.) finished the race in a time of 3:35.83.

The entire Juniata squad will be in action on Saturday as the team?s compete at the Dickinson Invitational. It will be the final regular season meet for Juniata, as the Eagles will compete at the MAC Championships at Messiah College the following weekend. Juniata currently has 31 of the 41 athletes on the roster qualified for the conference championships, and will be looking to qualify several more competitors at Dickinson.
