HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Department of Education will hold its first Teacher Education Case Study Contest at 7 p.m., Monday, April 5 in Neff Lecture Hall in the von Liebig Center for Science on the Juniata campus.

The competition is free and open to the public.

"This is an opportunity for teacher candidates to showcase their knowledge and skills in competitive situations," says Sarah DeHaas, associate professor of education at Juniata.

The student teams will be judged on the following criteria: questioning assumptions and generalizations; critical examination of facts; respecting different beliefs, attitudes and views; examining issues from multiple perspectives; and communicating and defending ideas effectively.
