Dancer, singer and poet K.J. Holmes will perform a dance/movement piece created in collaboration with Juniata College students at 8:15 p.m. April 20 in the Rosenberger Auditorium in Oller Hall on the Juniata College campus.

Holmes' performance is a featured part of the conference, "A Celebration of Juniata Women," held from April 19-21 on campus. The conference is part of the college's 125th anniversary celebration in 2001. As part of the conference, Holmes also will hold a movement workshop for conference participants from 2 to 5 p.m.

Based in Brooklyn, N.Y., Holmes has performed and taught at such venues as the Bates Dance Festival, Festival Internacional de danza in San Luis Potisi, Mexico and the Seattle Festival of Alternative Dance.

She has created several solo works, including "Birdcage," "Akaska," and "Captured Channels." Her choreography for groups include the works "Wreckage" and "Constellation."
