Huntingdon, Pa. ? Junior Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton) has received another award for her work on the volleyball court, and for her work in the classroom. Dale selected to the CoSIDA District II Academic All-District team. Dale was selected for the District II second-team.

Dale has been the starting setter for the Juniata women?s volleyball team for the past three years. This season she is a co-captain on the squad and was recently named Player of the Year in the Commonwealth Conference and was placed on the first team All-Conference team.

Earlier in the season, she was named the AVCA/Sports Imports Division III Player of the Week. Currently, Dale has accumulated 1349 assists on the season, which has moved her into fifth place career assists at Juniata College. At this time, she is leading the nation in assists per game 13.63. Not only does Dale run the offense for the Eagles, she is a strong defensive player who has tallied 363 digs this season, which puts her on the career dig chart at Juniata in seventh place. She has led the Eagles to a 36-0 record so far this season, and has aided in the team?s arrival into the NCAA tournament for their 23rd consecutive appearance. Dale was a second-team All-America as a sophomore as well as an All-Region and All-Conference pick.

In the classroom, Dale currently has a 3.762 cumulative grade point average with a program of emphasis in Accounting. She is a winner of the Calvert Ellis Scholarship and a member of Tau Pi Phi Accounting, Business and Economics National Honor Society.

The District II College Division consists of all NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA colleges in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
