Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College senior guard Jen LaCount(Westmont Hilltop/Johnstown) was named to the MAC women's basketball honor roll for her play during the week of February 17. Each week the MAC office names a Commonwealth Conference and Freedom Conference basketball player of the week, along with recognizing three more players with an honor roll designation.

LaCount was honored for her performance in two games this past week, including a win against Lebanon Valley. Playing in the final two games of her career, LaCount was the team's high scorer for both games, including matching her career high with 27 points against Lebanon Valley. Along with the 27 points, she added three rebounds, one assist and three steals in helping Juniata to the victory. LaCount then scored twenty points, contributed eight rebounds, two assists, and five steals in Juniata's season finale against Moravian. For the week LaCount shot 64 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range. The back-to-back 20-point games marked the first time in her career that she had topped the 20-point mark in consecutive contests.

LaCount finished the season averaging 11.4 points per game, the best on the Eagle squad. She also led the team in three pointers made, thee-point percentage and was second on the unit in steals. LaCount's thirty-nine three-point baskets this season is the fifth-highest single season total in school history and gives her ninety-five made three-pointers for her career, ranking her fourth in the College Hill record books.

Juniata closed out LaCount's senior season with an overall record of 9-15 overall and a 5-9 mark in the Commonwealth Conference. LaCount is the third Eagle to receive honor roll recognition for the 2002-03 season.
