HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Although most of the employers will be local and regional companies, and job seekers will be looking locally for job opportunities from companies at Juniata College's Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, in the Kennedy Sports and Recreation Center intramural gym, the focus of events preceding the fair will have an international flavor.

The fair features more than 90 employers from Pennsylvania and across the country, including such Fortune 500 companies as Deloitte, General Electric, Merck & Co., Hershey Foods Inc., New York Life and PPG Industries. Some 400 resume-carrying students are expected to visit the career event.

Students who visit the fair are encouraged to dress in business attire.

"We have more than 40 percent of our students studying abroad during their time here and that impacts their aspirations to be part of the global economy and job market," says Darwin Kysor, director of career services at Juniata. "We also have a lot of international students with the same intent on securing jobs in the global marketplace, so we thought a focus on international issues would be a good fit."

The program on the day of the Career Fair begins with employer check-in at 10:30 a.m. There will be refreshments served, along with a light lunch, during the hours of the fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Representatives can leave at 3 p.m.
