HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata men's soccer dropped a Landmark Conference matchup against Goucher College in a close 1-0 overtime loss Saturday at a cold and rainy Winton Hill Field.

Just under two minutes into overtime, freshman Nate Margolis found senior Elijah Lais in front of the Eagles' net to seal the deal for the Gophers.

However, Juniata (3-4-0, 0-2-0 Landmark) did outshoot Goucher (5-5-0, 2-1-0 Landmark) 14-8, but was unable to find the back of the net. Sophomore Dane Azeles (Duncansville, Pa./Hollidaysburg) led the Eagles in shots with five. The Eagles also tallied eight corner kick opportunities with Goucher only managing two.

Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) protected the Eagles' net for all 91:54 minutes of play and turned away four Goucher shots.

The Eagles travel to Delaware Valley College on Monday, Oct. 3, for a 4:00 p.m. match that had been previously postponed. Juniata returns to Landmark Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Moravian College.
