Huntingdon, PA -- Juniata College setter Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton) was named the Commonwealth Conference volleyball "player of the week," for the week ending November 10.

Dale led the Eagles to their 22nd conference championship with her performance in two matches this past week. The sophomore recorded 36 assists, eight digs, three aces and four kills with a .667 hitting percentage in the championship game of the Commonwealth Conference Tournament as the Eagles topped Moravian 3-0. Dale was just as solid in the semi-final, distributing 43 assists with seven digs and seven kills in Juniata's 3-0 win against Lebanon Valley. With Dale setting the table the Eagles had a team hitting percentage of .302 in the tournament, including a mark of .348 in the championship game.

Dale has been pacing the offense for the blue and gold all season long. She is averaging 13.18 assists per game along with 2.69 digs and 1.16 kills per contest. She has registered a hitting percentage of .408, which is the highest among the starters. Dale achieved her first career triple-double earlier this season when she handed out 60 assists, knocked home 12 kills and had 11 digs against Laverne. She has dished out at least 40 assists on 22 occasions this season, and has reached 50 abets 12 times. Dale has reached double-figures in digs 11 times this season, including a career-high 24 ups against Indiana (Pa.). She was named to the all-tournament team at both the Asics Collegiate Invitational, and the ?Wid? Guisler Invitational.

With Dale leading the way, the Eagles finished the regular-season with a record of 28-4, and then added the two wins in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament. The Eagles earned their 22nd NCAA Tournament berth and will be hosting the Mid-Atlantic Regional Nov. 14-16. The Eagles enter the Tournament as the No. 1 seed in the region and as the fifth-ranked team in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III poll.
