HUNTINGDON Pa. -- Juniata College student-athlete Jeremy Hays (McMechen,W.Va./John Marshall) earned Men's Basketball Landmark Conference Player of the Week honors for his outstanding all-around efforts last week.

Hays was a determining factor in the Eagles two-game Landmark Conference sweep on their own court over the weekend. He stepped up over the weekend, proving his true potential in his years to come.

Hays scored in double figures in both games, netting 14 in a win over Moravian College and hitting for 18 as the Eagles topped the University of Scranton. He shot 68-percent from the field and 60-percent from three-point range in the wins, and averaged four rebounds, four assists and 2.5 steals over the two-game series.

The victories were so impressive for Juniata because they snapped a six-game slide. With one game remaining the Eagles are 9-3 on their home court this year, tied for the second-best home record in the conference.

Juniata will host "senior day" versus Susquehanna University on Saturday Feb. 19 at 7:30 pm.
