HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College junior guard Dan Sekulski (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone Area) earned Landmark Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors on Monday, for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 9.

Sekulski is a repeat Landmark player of the week honoree this season, after receiving the award on December 13.

Sekulski played a big part in Juniata's perfect 3-0 record last week. He hit the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer in the Eagles' 55-54 Friday night win over Landmark-rival Catholic University of America, finishing with a team-high 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. Sekulski also dished out four assists against just one turnover against the Cardinals, to go with two blocks and a steal.

He scored in double figures in all three Juniata games last week, tallying 13 points in the Eagles' 67-58 Saturday afternoon triumph over Goucher College to go with his 10-point, nine-rebound effort in a non-conference tilt against Grove City College on Tuesday night.

For the week, Sekulski averaged 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds, to go with a total of nine assists, four blocks, and 10 steals. He shot .390 (16-of-41) from the field and was 8-of-11 at the free-throw line.

Sekulski is averaging 15.0 points and 3.8 boards through 14 games this season, and is shooting .443 from the field. He currently ranks fifth in the Landmark in scoring, 15th in field goal percentage, and second in both steals per game (2.62) and assist/turnover ratio (1.45).

Juniata (9-5, 2-1 Landmark) takes to the road this weekend for a pair of Landmark contests. The Eagles face the University of Scranton on Friday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 p.m. in Scranton, Pa., followed by a 2:00 p.m. tip-off against Moravian College on Saturday, Jan. 15, in Bethlehem, Pa.
