HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Two up-and-coming Christian rock groups, Chasen and Luminate, will bring their idiosyncratic brand of religious rock music to Juniata College in a concert at 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 20 in Baker Refectory in Ellis Hall on the Juniata campus.

Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door. Tickets can be bought in advance by calling (814) 641-3361, or by visiting the information desk in the foyer of Ellis Hall.

Chasen, a four-member group led by songwriter Chasen Callahan, has been together since 2009. Callahan started his career as a pastor at Marathon Church in South Carolina. As a pastor, Callahan incorporated music into his sermons and presentations.

In 2009, three musicians, Evan Silver, Aaron Lord ands Jared Barber, joined Callahan to form the band.

The band received immediate airplay with such songs as "Crazy/Beautiful" and "Drown." The band's first album, "That Was Then, This is Now," yielded such hits as "Slow Down," "On and On," and "There is Love."

Luminate is a five-person Christian band from Tyler, Texas. The members are: Samuel Hancock, lead vocals; Cody Clark, guitar; Dustin DeLong, keyboard; DustyJakubik, bass; and Aaron Matthew, drums.

Luminate's first album, released in 2005, is self-titled, and features such songs as "Spirit of Love," "Shine (Love is an Action," "Miracle" and "Fearlessly."

The group released a second album, "Bright and Beautiful," in 2007 and released their latest recording, "Miracle," in 2008.
