HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College football team and cheerleaders will team up this Saturday to join the fight against cancer.

The cheerleaders will be collecting donations for the American Cancer Society throughout Juniata's home football game against Gettysburg College, which kicks off at 1:00 p.m. at Knox Stadium.

The cheerleaders will be handing out pink ribbon stickers to all the fans, as well as pink ribbon key fobs donated by AAA of Central Pennsylvania, and will be sporting pink t-shirts and hair bows for the game.

The Juniata football team will be wearing pink ribbon helmet decals, while the coaching staff will wear pink ribbon pins on their sideline shirts.

"This is a great cause, and all of our players and coaches are happy we can do our part to raise money to help in the ongoing search for a cure for cancer," said Juniata head football coach Carmen Felus. "I hope to see the Knox Stadium grandstand full this Saturday against Gettysburg, and I hope we can make a large contribution to the American Cancer Society at the end of the day. On behalf of Juniata Football, I want to thank the cheerleaders, and their coach Kristy Launtz, for all their efforts in arranging this event on Saturday."
