HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Two days after earning its first victory of the season, the Juniata College women's swimming team had junior Lindsay Cooper (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) earn the Landmark Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, released today.

The Eagles took part in a tri-meet at Penn State-Altoona with meets against Hood College and the Lions. She touched the wall first in all three of her events, pacing the Eagles who won a total of sevens events in the tri-meet.

Cooper's meet started with a 26.87 second swim in the 50-yard freestyle before competing in the 100-yard freestyle eight events later. She posted a time of 59.36 seconds, a personal best in 2010. She finished the meet with a 1:17.42 showing in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The team defeated Hood College, 46-42, but lost to Penn State-Altoona, 62-38. It was the first victory for head coach Lauren O'Donnell in her career.

The Eagles are out of the water until the Landmark Conference Championships starting on February 12.
