HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Michael Drew's header proved to be all the University of Scranton would need to defeat Juniata College 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in men's soccer action.

After being fouled by a Juniata player, Justin Canning used the indirect kick to lift the ball to Drew. Drew headed the ball past Juniata keeper Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./James Madison) to finish the goal in the 25th minute.

Scranton (10-4-2, 3-2-1 Landmark) secured the win with another goal from Drew with jus t two minutes remaining. Drew chipped the ball over Kohler's head from outside the 18 yard box.

Kohler saw all 90 minutes in the Eagle goal and finished today's contest with ten saves. Royal keeper Brandon Dombrowski recorded six saves in his 90 minutes in goal.

Five yellow cards were doled out in what was a physical game. Nathan Brock (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) received his second yellow card in the 32nd minute, forcing Juniata to play one man down for the remainder of the game. This was the Eagles second game in a row they were one man short for the later part of the game.

Scranton outshot Juniata (6-10-0, 1-6-0 Landmark) 18-11 and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Juniata hosts Gywnedd Mercy to finish its season on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.
