Juniata Football will sponsor a Women's Football Clinic on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The event includes on-the-field drills and instruction from Juniata's football coaching staff and off-the-field demonstrations of basic strategies. Participants will also experience a game-day simulation of what it's like to be a college or professional football player.

Campers also will have a chance to practice with the Juniata Football team as it begins preparations for the first game of the 2009 season against Allegheny College.

Registration starts at 10:00 a.m., and the clinic runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Knox Stadium on the campus of Juniata College. The clinic costs $20 per person; $10 per person for Juniata employees; and free for Juniata students with a school ID. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The clinic price includes a Juniata Football T-shirt, food, refreshments, and giveaways.
