MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Juniata College head women's volleyball coach Larry Bock was presented an All-Time Great Coach Award by USA Volleyball, during its 64th Annual Dorothy C. Boyce Annual Awards and Recognitions Banquet, Thursday night in Minneapolis, Minn.

Bock was one of three collegiate head coaches recognized with the award, alongside former Washington University (Mo.) head coach Teri Clemens and University of California-Riverside head coach Sue Gozansky.

One of the most recognized names in collegiate volleyball, and the winningest coach in the sport's history, Bock recently completed his 32nd season at the helm of his storied Juniata program. He has compiled an overall record of 1,182-182 as the head women's coach at Juniata, and has 1,282 career wins with the 100 victories he compiled as the Juniata head men's coach from 1990 to 1995.

The USA Volleyball All-Time Great Coach Award adds to an already impressive collection of awards and recognitions for Bock. He was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Coach of the Year on five occasions, most recently in 2006, and was a member of the inaugural class of the AVCA Hall of Fame. Bock was named a co-coach of the NCAA's Division III Women's Volleyball 25th Anniversary Team in 2005.

Juniata finished its 2008 campaign with a 35-5 record, earning its 28th consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Eagles won the regional hosted by Juniata, and advanced to the national semifinals where they were defeated by the University of LaVerne, 3-2.
