HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College committed 32 turnovers leading to 21 points for the University of Scranton, and the 25th-ranked Lady Royals downed Juniata 56-44 in a Landmark Conference women's basketball matchup on Friday night in Huntingdon, Pa.

Neither team shot the ball particularly well, as the Eagles were held to just 29.5% (13-44) from the floor while the Lady Royals managed only slightly better at 32.8% (20-61). Scranton was 1-of-17 from three-point range for the game, while Juniata was 0-of-8 beyond the arc.

Juniata (9-10, 3-5 Landmark) was led by Jen Hnatuck (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and a 4-of-4 mark at the charity stripe. Claudia McDowell (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) chipped in with 12 points, while Ashton Bankos (York, Pa./York Catholic) hauled down 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

Scranton's Megan Kopecki had a team-high 14 points, with Kelly Tratthen finishing in double-figures with 11 points.

Juniata returns to action on Saturday afternoon when it hosts 16th-ranked Moravian College at 2:00 p.m.
