HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Four Juniata College women's volleyball players to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Mid-Atlantic Region teams, which were announced on November 13.

Senior outside hitter Amber Thomas (Ephrata, Pa./Conestoga Valley) earned All-Region honors for the fourth time in her distinguished career, while senior setter Beth Kozak (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and junior libero Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) both received their third All-Region team selection.

Sophomore setter Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) was tapped for the All-Region team for the first time in her career, and rounded out the list of Juniata's All-Region honorees.

Thomas currently leads the Eagles offensively with 354 kills (3.81/set) with 200 digs (2.15/set) and 39 blocks (0.42/set). She is currently ranked 32nd in Division III in kills per set, and paces a Juniata offense that as a team ranks fifth in the nation in that category.

Sollenberger is Juniata's top defensive specialist, with 622 digs (4.86/set), and leads the Eagles with 44 service aces. Kozak has tallied 639 assists this season (5.24/set), while accumulating 241 digs (1.98/set) - second-most on the team. She also has 32 aces this season. Strauss has 650 assists (5.20/set), but also adds an offensively element with 156 kills (1.25/set), fourth-most on the squad.

Juniata will head to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship in Bloomington, Ill., this week, where the Eagles will face the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in a national quarterfinal. The Eagles (34-4) defeated Eastern University, 3-0, on Saturday night in a Regional Championship match hosted in Huntingdon, Pa.
