LATROBE, Pa. -- Juniata College scored once in each half and then let its two keepers bar the door and lead the Eagle women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over St. Vincent College, Sunday afternoon in Latrobe, Pa.

Sophomore Caitlin Bigelow (La Mesa, Calif./Academy of Our Lady of Peace) scored in the game's 10th minute for Juniata, playing a through-ball down the middle from Laura Goodlander (Red Land, Pa./Red Land) and beating St. Vincent goalkeeper Kirstie Mills. The was Bigelow's fifth this season.

Newcomer Aimee Radic (Belle Vernon, Pa./Belle Vernon Area) padded the Eagle lead in the 75th minute, outworking the Bearcat defense for her second goal of the season. Amanda Broadwell (Newfoundland, N.J./Morris Knolls) was credited with the assist.

Lauren Auster-Gussman (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) started in the Juniata goal and played the first half, recording a pair of saves. Kristen Penska (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) came on in the second half and made one save in her 45 minutes of play. Through three games this season, the Juniata backs have allowed only five shots on goal.

"Both keepers came up strong today, and did what they had to do," said Juniata head coach Scott McKenzie. "Saint Vincent is a good squad. They're much more physical than any team we've played this season."

Juniata has the week off before facing Gettysburg College this Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1:00 p.m. on Winton Hill Field in Huntingdon, Pa.
