HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Frostburg State University, Tuesday afternoon at the Raffensperger Tennis Courts in Huntingdon, Pa. Juniata (4-6, 1-0 Landmark) split the singles matches with the Bobcats, with Amanda Fontana (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) winning #1 singles, 6-1, 6-0; Maggie Wolenter (Audubon, N.J./Audubon) capturing #2 singles, 6-1, 3-6, 13-11; and Lauren Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon) taking #3 singles, 6-7, 7-5, 15-3. However the Eagles captured just one of the three doubles matches, with Fontana and Wolenter posting the win at #1 doubles, 9-7. The Eagle women's team will next see action on Saturday, March 29, when Juniata faces Goucher College in a Landmark Conference match.
